Whoopie for Whoopie Cookies!

Sometimes I start singing to Isaac, and suddenly I'm singing a random song I haven't thought about in years. The other day, it was one I learned in brownies - odd, I know. It made me start telling Josh stories about brownies...and badges...and earning my baking badge...which I did with this recipe. As soon as I thought about it, I knew I needed to taste one!

Cookies:
1/2 C shortening
1 C white sugar
3 Tbsp cocoa
2 egg yolks
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 C milk
2 C flour

Combine all ingredients and drop by spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375' for 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

Filling:
1/4 C shortening
1/4 C margarine
2 egg whites
1 1/2 C icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients and beat well. When cookies have cooled, press 2 cookies together with fililng. Makes 2 dozen double cookies.
