I've seen lots of girls on the cooking boards talk about root beer pulled pork, but I had yet to try it. We are definitely keeping meals simple with a 5-day old baby at home, so putting something from the freezer in the slow-cooker seemed like the perfect idea!
Spray the dish with non-stick spray, set the thawed pork loin inside, and poured in one can of root beer. Let it cook on high for 4 hours.
Remove meat from dish and gently pull apart with a fork and knife.
Sauté some chopped onion in a large pan over medium heat. Once the onions are transparent, add the pulled pork and stir to combine. Add your favourite BBQ sauce to the pan.
Serve on a kaiser bun topped with mozzarella cheese.
Not a great picture, but they tasted so good...And sometimes things taste even better when they took minimal effort.
